One of the most basic agility tools is the agility ladder. This is a tool that lies on the ground, and is used in the training for such sports as football, soccer, tennis, hockey, and rugby. It is called a ladder, because that's just what it looks like!
Various exercises are performed in the agility ladder. You can run through the agility ladder making sure to places one foot in the middle of each square. You make deliberate movements to place your foot accurately, while swinging your arms and making your ground contact as quickly as possible. Create more agility drills by varying the pattern of how you're stepping in the squares; use your imagination!
