if you want a glove that offers great back of the hand and cuff protection, this is your glove. pretty sharp too.
my only grief though is that there is little to no padding in the fingertips (it's just a thin bit of the glove lining). i took a shot from somebody whipping around their foil in the finger and holy f**king crap did that hurt! no padding in the fingers :( **BUT... don't let that stop you from buying it; otherwise it's a great glove. just make sure you've got either a sabre guard or a epee cup and you'll be lovin it.

This glove is similar to the fencing.net 3 weapon beginner glove, but it has two key differences.
There are reinforced areas on the thumb and forefinger, with an extra grippy material.
The cuff isn't flared like the beginner glove, so it's suitable for epee.
All in all, this is a very well made, attractive, comfortable, and durable glove. I would expect to pay a lot more for a glove of this quality.
