Our non-electric foils are ideal for beginner classes or group classes where basic drills are to be employed. These are also for groups that will not be competing with electric weapons in USFA competition.
Practice foils are also often referred to as dry foils. In the UK they are referred to as steam fencing.
When picking out your foil, the most important aspect is the blade. The standard blades are lightweight and flexible and perfect for the beginning fencer taking beginning through intermediate fencing classes as the blade flex helps to avoid bruising your drill partners. The StM blades start out a bit stiffer but are much more durable. The StM foils are a great value buy for theatre groups or clubs investing in sets of equipment to loan or rent out for class use. Finally, the Leon Paul Etoile foil blade is the most durable of the non-electric blades that we carry - but we have limited numbers in stock.
All foils come with Fencing.Net standard parts. Some have upgrades available if you prefer a leather grip or heavier foil pommel.
