When you are practicing, you want an epee that matches the weight and balance of your competition foil.  Most standard non-electric practice epee are far too light and flexible (whippy) to give a good feel for the actions that you will perform in a match.

We've seen many fencers purchase dummy points from us to screw onto their non-used electric blades to create a functional practice weapon for drills and lessons and the idea was so good that we decided to package up the product and bring it to you.

If you are going to your first beginner class, the coach may not want you using this weapon, as the blade is a little stiffer than a standard non-electric blade.  If, however, you are past the beginner class and are looking for a practice weapon that will translate to competitive electric fencing, this is the foil for you.
